The Maija-James Project is an Acoustic Duo from Phoenix, Arizona. They perform acoustic music ranging from folk, americana, jazz, blues, and rock. Maija-James plays originals and soft rock from the past 50 years. Artists covered include Janice Joplin, Brandi Carlile, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Eagles, Elton John, Billie Holiday, Patsy Cline, Fleetwood Mac, Dolly Parton, The Ronettes, Amy Winehouse, Etta James, Kitty Wells, Jimmy Buffet, Zac Brown, Red Hot Chili Peppers, America, James Taylor, Bob Dylan (love Bob Dylan), Black Crows, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Harry Chapin, and many more. Their shows feature two guitars, vocal harmonies, harmonica, and some looping/drum machine features if desired. Maija-James is perfect for breweries, wineries, pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, house parties, corporate events, farmer’s markets, music festivals, art festivals, and weddings. We provide all necessary gear including lighting and sound system.

The Maija-James Project is an Acoustic Duo from Phoenix, Arizona. They perform acoustic music across the southwest ranging from folk, americana, jazz, blues, and rock. Their shows feature vocal harmonies, two guitars, and a harmonica. Maija is originally from Minneapolis and has a family immersed in music. James grew up in Dayton, Ohio and still roots for the Buckeyes and the Browns (because his wife is from Cleveland). Both raised twins.
